Rowdy Roddy Piper In STREETS OF HOLLYWOOD
Big thanks to Rowdy Roddy Piper and his Daughter for this interview!!!
In a celebrity world filled with glitz and glam, there are those like Roddy Piper who remind us all that behind the façade is a humane person, with a sincere and genuine heart. EZ of What U Need TV interviews the former wrestler on the streets of Hollywood in support of seven-year-old cancer victim, CJ. Roddy Piper and daughter Arielle, like EZ, have come to help a little boy get a fair chance at life, and provide his parents with the much needed support and money their sons treatment requires.
Piper himself is a cancer survivor, making him well aware of the ramifications the disease brings for those infected, and their loved ones. He reveals his struggle with Lymphoma Cancer after being diagnosed in hospital when his hip stopped working during a fight in Glasgow, Scotland. To make matters even harder, the fighters great grandma died seconds before he could tell his family he had cancer.
As a cancer survivor, Piper is one of the few exceptions that keep faith alive for boys like CJ. Piper reveals the importance of extending a helping hand because life isnt easy, and without the right support, you have nothing. He shows us all that there is hope, even for those who endure the toughest hardships in life, and that is the ultimate reason why he has come out to do an interview and show his support for CJ.
In the spirit of giving and providing support, What U Need TVs host, EZ, also plays his role in getting word out on CJs story, and fulfilling WTVs obligation of revealing whats at the core of things. As Piper states, its remarkable to see everyone come together for one individual instead of an association that only does a certain thing and pays money. Today the cause celebrates something far more important than the value of moneythe life of a seven-year-old boy.

Words From CJ’s Parents
We noticed CJ was not responding very well and complaining about a headache. We took him in to Children’s Mercy. After sitting there the doctors had all just about given up on him. CJ blood pressure had went up, and he had a fever. And seemed to be very weak. We were told that he would need a CT scan. After the CT scan that doctor pulled me outside the room and asked me what would I like do if CJ needed to put on a respirator. They at that point had given up on CJ. Another doctor came in and stated that CT scan looked as if the Tumor has grown in comparison to the last CT scan 2 weeks ago. But we would have to wait for the official reading from a radiologist in California. And with a calm sincerity in his voice said “SORRY”. It was as if he had just came out to tell a family a love one had already passed away. He held his head down and left. At that point they tried to sedate him. We refused to let them pump him full of medicine. And we elected to wait on his CJ doctor. They admitted CJ. The next day, while in the hospital we waited on his doctor, Me and Brandi were upset and began discussing what our next move would be.
