KARL KANI aka Carl Williams, a black urban street wear designer, started in 1989 with designing urban and hip hop music influenced fashion for friends and artists from his home base in Brooklyn, New York. In 1992 Karl moved to L.A. and he grew to be one of the most famous and influential black urban designers in the USA. Many well known hip hop artists like: Dr. Dre, Tupac, P. Diddy, aka Puff Daddy, aka Sean John and Snoopdog, have been wearing Karl’s clothing in the early days of their careers. Nowadays these celebrities are still very grateful to Karl for his support and they are all very loyal to him. The European Karl Kani collection clearly draws it’s influence from both past and present trends in American sportswear, street-wear and current directions within the US music scene.

Karl Kani Jeans is also known as the basis for the entire line. The logos are based on the initial logos that Karl Kani has been using since 1989 when he started building this successful brand. These logos are typical for his designs and make his work highly recognizable. The colors are always matching and this makes it easy to make combinations. The major part of the jeans-line consists of strong basics like sweatshirts, hoodeds, zip hoodeds, zip sweat-jackets, caps, underwear and jeans.
