Interview with Ne-yo
Article by Chenine Cayetano

Forget about the era of triple-threats in Hollywood. Ne-Yo officially raised the bar. Although he needs no introduction, the quintuple-threat in this star lies in his ability to sing, song write, produce records, dance, and act. Ne-Yo is the mastermind behind many chart-topping songs, such as Beyonces Irreplaceable, Marios Let Me Love You, and Rihannas Unfaithful.
Of course, Ne-Yo has to keep some number ones to himself. This years hit song Closer successfully combined up-beat dance beats with soulful R&B, reminiscent of 2007s Grammy winning Because of You. His productions and sound bring versatility and finesse back in style.
From his style of dress, the words in his lyrics, and the images on his videos- one word transcends in everything the artist does: class. This is apparent in his 2008 album, titled Year of the Gentleman. In his Def Jam biography, he honors the sharpness of Sammy Davis Jr. and Frank Sinatra in the spirit of his album. He describes his newest production as worldly.
The ultra-talented celebrity caught up with What U Need TV at Meagan Goods birthday. He met Meagan while working on the movie Stomp the Yard. Ne-Yo gives advice to WTV viewers and aspiring talent. In a life surrounded by people who are more comfortable being stuck in the grind, Ne-Yo says, I like to focus on what I can do, while others like to focus on what can not be done.
He also urges new talent to hone your craft as an artist and as a businessperson, learn both sides of the game. Ne-Yo mentions, There are a lot of snakes in the grass and you will get bit, a warning we have all heard from our parents, but seldom from an established star.
